9/10/09 Katie's Healthy Eating journal: Thursday

by Katie (Jenny Craig 2009 Poster Girl) 10. September 2009 16:41

Other than working on our house and doing manual labor I don't know if you have noticed that since I started school my activity level has decreased significantly?  We live on 110 acres and I can't even get my lazy butt up to go on a walk or hike.  My husband has been begging me all week to go on a walk with the dogs and him.  I know it is no excuse but between school starting (and being incredibly intense this year) and my parents health problems I have been EXHAUSTED.  I feel so wiped out by the time I get home from school that I can barely move.  Cooking dinner requires effort.  It is so sad that this had to be what motivated me to get up but I have gained a pound.  I know, I know, 119 is not a big deal but it is when I gave myself 5 pounds of flexibility and I am .6 lbs. from reaching that.  I know stress and lack of exercise have done it but still.  This means I need to step up my game or I'll be back in at Jenny Craig trying to figure out what exactly I need to do to get back at the lower end of my "comfort zone."  Needless to say, I went on a 40 minute walk with my husband and the dogs.  It was exactly what I needed.  I forgot what a stress reliever working out can be!  For some reason when I "fall off the wagon" it is ten times harder for me to get motivated and back into it.
